A little about me
I live in sleepy, foggy Northern California where I’ve been serving clients as a voice artist from my home studio since early 2021.
Voiceover as a career has been such a completely natural, no-brainer segue for me.
Before becoming a voice actor, I produced continuing educational videos for medical professionals (and still do). I also worked for seven years as a writer and editor of educational materials for college-bound students. Throughout all of this time I’ve also taught guitar and piano.
I have a Master’s degree in theatre and a background in acting and writing for theater. I play guitar, piano, bass and mandolin and am a choir director. Where I live, it’s easy to be in my cozy studio for long stretches of the day, but when I need a break I can walk in the forest or hang out with our many chickens and cats.
I love any kind of voiceover, but especially genres that emphasize storytelling and teaching, so I decided to focus full-time on audiobooks. I’ve taken voiceover classes at The Voice Actor’s Studio (Las Vegas), Voice One (San Francisco), Real Voice L.A. (Los Angeles), Edge Studio (New York), and Gravy for the Brain (International) in a variety of genres, including audiobooks, commercial, promo, political, e-learning, & documentary narration.
My professional, sound-treated home studio includes:
Sennheiser MK4 condenser microphone
Synco D2 shotgun microphone
Presonus Audiobox 22 VSL interface
I-mac & MacBook Pro
Software: Studio One, Twisted Wave, Final Cut Pro
